Principal Consultant
Ms Hooi is a practicing Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) , Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand ( CAANZ ) . She is also a CA member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia ( IIA) and Insolvency Practitioners Association Of Malaysia (IPAM) .
Having worked in NZ, Singapore, Honolulu, New York and Kuala Lumpur, Ms. Hooi has acquired considerable international experience in developing robust finance and operations infrastructure for enterprises of all sizes. She has helped many SMEs in streamlining processes , set up reporting structures and implement corporate governance. She has held key management roles in finance, operations and internal audit in several offshore banks in Singapore.
Team Leaders
Nova’s team leaders have at least 5 years or more accounting services exposure to a portfolio of clients, therefore are well versed in every aspect of the accounting role to ensure an efficient and systematic delivery of services. All staff including team leaders are fully qualified LCCI graduates, with several in various stages of their ACCA modules.
Nova’s team leaders are highly motivated individuals and understand the benefits of multi- tasking in a small company. Nova prides herself in long serving staff with low turnover. Staffs are continually upgraded in their soft and hard skills with both external and in-house training.
NOVA’s Management Policy
Nova’s management is committed to improving service efficiency, technical skills and human capital management. Nova prides herself in a history of low turnover of staff and has in–house year round training programs to upgrade technical skills and learn new software applications. The team understands the importance of quality, efficiency and professional service to all its customers.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS)
Since 2009, Nova has worked with Eu Institute at Taman Paramount to place their new graduates in our company. Nova hopes to empower these graduates with on the job exposure that can benefit them in their future professional career or entrepreneurship journey.
